In the summer of 1977, a world-famous actor Eevgeniy Leonov and his family spent their holiday at the outpost. Leonov came to enjoy the beautiful island of Saaremaa on the advice of his friend Lembit Ulfsak, a wonderful Estonian actor, with whom he had taken part in acting in the film “Legend About Thiel” in Estonia the year before. Leonov stayed at the outpost’s guest house.

The film museum hosts a unique exhibition of Ulfsak and Leonov during the shooting of the movie “Legend About Thiel”, Leonov’s vacation at the outpost and on Saaremaa, and everything that connected the prominent actor to Estonia. In addition to “Legend About Thiel”, the film museum introduces legendary Estonian films “Siin me oleme!” (“Here We Are!”), “Mehed ei nuta” (“Men Don’t Cry”) and others related to the life and culture of Saaremaa.
